Branches desiring to make a nomination for any State Conference Award should submit a letter of recommendation to the State Office no later than Friday, September 30, 2024. Please be sure that letters include the name, address, telephone number, and email address of the nominee, as well as the person making the nomination.
Awarded to the individual in the corporate community who has demonstrated concern for civic and community affairs.
Presented to the individual who has gone beyond the call of duty to improve conditions for the African American community.
Given to the individual, institution, or organization contributing most to the improvement of political power for all people.
Presented to the individual, organization, or institution contributing most to both youth and adult citizens of the African American community.
Awarded to the attorney or judge who demonstrates or helps administer the NAACP legal program through litigations or ruling.
Presented to the individual, institution, or organization demonstrating the most genuine care for those in need.
Given to the individual who volunteers their time to help carry out the mission and vision of the MS State Conference.
Presented to the individual or organization contributing to uplifting the entire community. This award is named in memory of the late Medgar Evers who served tirelessly as the Mississippi Field Secretary.
Named in memory of the late Aaron Henry, civil rights leader who served tirelessly as the Mississippi State Conference President. This award is given to the individual selected by the State Conference President for outstanding statewide leadership.
