Warren Jones is a native of Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Crenshaw High School, serving both as student body president and as an International Ambassador in Stockholm, Sweden and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the school’s business academy. As a first-generation college student, Warren was awarded a partial scholarship to attend Tougaloo College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. While at Tougaloo, Warren served as a Student Ambassador for recruitment and President of the Rho Epsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. It was during his senior year that Warren was introduced to the field of Public Health. While earning his MPH from Jackson State University, Warren also became a Jackson Heart Study Scholar. Warren is now beginning his second year in the Doctor of Public Health program at Jackson State University School of Public Health. He currently works as a full time Epidemiologist with the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health, where he leads the Black Men’s Health Equity Council. Warren is very passionate about doing research that addresses the health disparities of underrepresented communities.
