Lady Vee also known as 6’3 Lady Vee and the Tall Lady of Soul, originally from Jackson MS. She was a standout basketball player at Jim Hill High School where she and her team won the 1966 State Championship. During this time she received numerous awards for her skills and sportsmanship. She started her radio career at WOKJ as a secretary and weekend announcer. She eventually became a full time personality on W JMI. It was not her goal to become a radio personality but she feels blessed to help listeners through the work day with the “Morning Stretch” on WKXI also known as Kixie 107.
When Lady Vee isn’t behind a microphone, she spends most of her time being a mother to her two children and grandmother to eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She loves working out, having fun with family and friends. Lady Vee has received many awards and recognitions that she is very proud of, however she is most proud of the recognition she received from the Mississippi House of Representatives as she was commended with a Resolution for 50 years in Broadcasting.
