Carl M. Reddix, MD, MPH is the physician principal for Medical Assurance of America, LLC – a Mississippi-based company that provides public health interventions for vulnerable populations. He is a retired Obstetrician/Gynecologist who was certified by the American College of OB/GYN for 30 years.
Dr. Reddix has a passion for addressing preventable morbidity and mortality in women of color who are pregnant or at risk for cancer. Additionally, he has a passion to insert a public health paradigm into the Criminal “Legal” System to address Gun Violence, Intimate Partner Violence and Recidivism. In light of Mississippiās racial disparities in health, Dr. Reddix is uniquely qualified to address some of these recalcitrant issues with his decades of experience in managing care and specific interventions in this challenging demographic, his formal public health training, and his ability to bring cultural sensitivity in efforts to aggressively advocate for vulnerable citizens, especially citizens of color.
He is a graduate from Tougaloo College with a B.S. in Chemistry Magna Cum Laude, Tufts University School of Medicine, Harvard University School of Public Health, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital Residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
